This book entails an eight-steps journey, that was walked in Nandi Forest Ecosystem (afro-montane moist forest ecosystem) and in Arabuko-Sokoke Forest (coastal forest, including mangrove forest), demystifying the procedures and steps taken in implementation of Participatory Forest Management (PFM), through sharing best practices, lessons learnt and citing examples within the forest ecosystems and other case studies of Mt. Kenya Forest ecosystem. This was aimed at reducing deforestation and forest degradation towards climate change mitigation in the forest ecosystems and other similar ecosystems in Kenya and beyond. The book can therefore be recommended for environmental scientists, forestry managers, wildlife managers, natural resource managers, policy formulators and general PFM practitioners.
Autorenporträt
The Author is a seasoned Environmental Economist and Project Manager, holding MSc in Environmental Economics from University of Eldoret, and pursuing PhD in Project Management at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya. He had 14 years working experience with conservation NGOs (East African Wild Life Society and Nature Kenya).
