This book covers a short description of microbiological aspects about the main bacterial pathogens that causes periodontitis along with brief description of each bacteria (related to red complex only) along microbiological changes that an individual bacteria causes within the periodontal pocket and how they are related to dental biofilm formation. It also focuses on virulence factors of individual bacteria in this complex and how they affect host at microscopic level.
