With the introduction of newer diagnostic methods, one can monitor the progression of disease and aid in decision making i.e. whether repair or restore the lesion. Lasers represent a quantum leap forward in the dental treatment of all patients, especially the paediatric patients and have set a new standard of providing dental care. The use of lasers is an alternative method of providing effective dental treatment to infants, children, adolescents, and individuals with special health care needs. In this book following detail of lasers such as its history, mechanism of action, properties, interaction with tissue and various applications will be discussed.

Dr. Ravneet Kour completed her graduation (BDS) in the year 2009 and post graduation (MDS) in the year 2018. She is a Paediatric dentist and has attended numerous courses across India in order to attend lectures, seminars and hands-on workshops led by some of the worlds most prolific Dentists.
