Soft tissue management is the principal consideration in planning dental treatment to stabilize esthetic results, ensure periodontal health and achieve periodontal satisfaction. Gingival tissues provide a seal around the teeth (via. junctional epithelium and epithelial attachment) and act as a framework for peripheral body defense. This book emphasis various mucogingival problems and many other related issues that could be associated with gingival tissues along with their clinical impact; and also provides some guidelines on how a clinician must identify, alter and appropriately customize their periodontal therapy according to the individuals need.
