Ece Eden, DDS, MSc, PhD, is working in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, Ege University, Izmir, Turkey. Dr. Eden studied at Ege University and was appointed Associate Professor there in 2000 and Professor in 2006. She has also lectured at Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands through the Erasmus Staff Mobility Programme. She has consulted many masters and PhD theses in Turkey and copromoted theses in the Netherlands, Chile, and the UK. Dr. Edens research interests include preventive dentistry, minimal intervention dentistry, and dental trauma. She served as a member of the Turkish Dental Associations Public Dental Health Commission and worked with the Izmir Dentistry Chamber and Ministry of Health for many years. Dr. Eden has been invited to speak at congresses in many countries such as Egypt, China, South Korea, the Philippines, India, Argentina, Russia, and Australia, and has lectured at more than 100 national and international meetings. She is the author of more than 60 articles in English and 40 articles in Turkish and translated several books into Turkish.
