Assisted reproduction raises significant issues for individuals, families and Communities. It can influence by a wide range of scientific, cultural, religious, ethical and professional factors. Some may regard assisted reproduction as standard medical and nursing practice that should be available with minimal constraints, in the interest of scientific progress and out of respect for an individual's or a couples reproductive choices. Others, in contrast, may regard it as ethically problematic, raising a number of issues and dilemmas that challenge humanitys core values, putting the needs and wants of the intended parent(s) above those of the potential child. This guideline review the effect of assisted reproductive technology (ART) on perinatal outcomes, provide guidelines to optimize obstetrical management and counselling to women who using ART and discusses the adverse outcomes that have been recorded in association with ART, including obstetrical complications, adverse perinatal outcomes, and multiple gestations.
