Medicinal plants are an important source of substances with biological activities. Many of them have become prototypes for the synthesis of a large number of bioactive compounds. Therefore theres a need to combine empirical knowledge about the popular use of medicinal plants with scientific research based on detailed studies of the plant species, as well as botanical, phytochemical, pharmacological, toxicological aspects, and the development of scientific and technological methodologies. The result of this scientific breakthrough is the development of a differential therapeutic herbal product, as unlike the traditional preparations obtained from plants in folk medicine, the scientific and technological grounding provide the development of herbal medicine.
