This book however cannot describe all the known prodrugs, that is why it concerns mainly the impact of fatty acids on the lipophilic prodrugs properties, both obvious and sometimes surprising. It is the first work describing in the systematic manner the huge impact of fatty residue on the drug action, maybe underestimated in comparison to other drug modifications.
