The purpose of the functional cosmetics is to take care of the skin and that influence physiology of the skin like anti-aging, fairness, sunscreens etc. so, considering these uses of functional cosmetics and as per our findings in the present study the developed formulation of two extract has good functional cosmetics utility as it potential for antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, fairness and sunscreen activities. With these effects the cream has also showed the best effect against infection. As per the safety concern to use of herbal extract i.e. (Passion Flower & Clitoria Ternatea) cream for functional cosmetic purpose, the present study was undertaken to evaluate the safety testing in terms of skin irritancy study on animal. The results of safety assessment of formulation on animal skin concluded that none of human subject demonstrated the skin irritation. Due to avaliblity of antioxidant activity of cream has potential to use in various skin disorders related free radicals. The study also indicated utility of cream of Passion Flower & Clitoria Ternatea extract for skin lightening effect.
