Pathophysiology is a typical interdisciplinary field and is recognized as the bridge between basic sciences and clinical medicine. It is the integrative science enabling understanding the causes and mechanisms underlying diseases, explains their clinical signs, evolution, and provides a rational background for appropriate preventive and therapeutic measures. The present book explains also the implications of cardiovascular, respiratory, hematologic, gastrointestinal, renal, bone and metabolic disorders for dentistry, and presents the main mechanisms involved in oral pathology, inflammation, fever, pain and electrolyte imbalances.
Autorenporträt
Dr. Ioana Mozos graduated from "Victor Babes" University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Timisoara, Romania in 1992 and holds a PhD from the same University. Since 1998, she has worked as Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Pathophysiology at "Victor Babes" University. Since 2009, was titled as Associate Professor at the same university.
