Endometriosis, at any stage, is considered as a risk factor for osteoporosis in women even at their reproductive age as predicted by the elevation of bone turnover biomarkers. Great association has been demonstrated between inflammation, hormonal, antioxidant and osteoporosis biomarkers. Endometriotic patients have systemic elevation of inflammatory biomarkers, as well as hormonal imbalance including FSH, TSH and PTH. In addition to abnormal oxidative status, increased SOD activity.
