This work aims to clarify the impact of the autonomic neurosis system and violation of indicators of skin barrier on the pathogenesis of lichen simplex chronicus. The book is also aiming to underline the role of stress in the development of the disease. The work attempts to answer the important question about the origin of pruritus in LSC. It is still debated is pruritus in LSC a primary or a secondary manifestation of the disease. The book is based on data from the literature and the findings of the author by investigating 1305 patients with LSC. The observations made by the author are illustrated in the tables or figures. The monograph provides a detailed critical analysis of the therapeutic approaches. The book systematic illustrates all therapeutic models, including those for which there are just small studies or a few reports. The conventional treatments are described alongside with some non-traditional methods.
