Beschreibung
This book brings together multi-disciplinary expertise to provide comprehensive information about molecular imaging of infectious diseases. Such tomographic molecular imaging techniques enable rapid visualization and monitoring of molecular processes noninvasively, and thus provide unique insights into understanding the pathogenesis of infections. Also described are the development of new imaging technologies and their potential for bench-to-bedside translation. While molecular imaging is already in common use in the clinic, Imaging Infections: From Bench to Bedside demonstrates how it could also become a valuable tool for clinical studies, patient care, public health, and for enabling precision medicine for infectious diseases.
