Beschreibung
Materials that carry out their work in the body of an organism deprived of any injurious outcome on the body are defined as "bio materials". Ceramics can be crystalline or non-crystalline. Ceramics have similar chemistry as native bone, so they are widely used in dental materials, implant coatings, bone ceramics and orthopedics. Their brittle nature makes possible their use in small loads applications.

Prof. Dr. Rehana Zia was born in beautiful city of gardens i.e.'Lahore'. She did her matric from Govt. Girls High School Model Town, Lahore in 1976 and F.Sc, B.Sc, M.Sc from Lahore College for Women, Lahore. In 2009 she has completed her Ph.D in Physics and received Gold Medal as the first Ph.D in the Faculty of Natural Sciences in LCWU.
