Plant-based medicinal products have been known to man since ancient times. Man has been able to appreciate through his superior observing and learning capabilities to use and exploit the natural resources, the flora and fauna for his survival and comfort, to alleviate pain and to cure diseases; to constantly improve upon his health and build longevity.WHO reports that 80% population of Asian and African countries depend on traditional medicine to treat various infectious and chronic disease conditions. The popularity of this system of medicine is due to people's faith in traditional age old methods, its accessibility and affordability.

I am the corresponding author of this paper. I do have a Bsc degree in public health officer and Msc in Anatomy. currently I am serving in Mizan-Tepi University Ethiopia as a lecturer. I would like to acknowledge peoples who are very active in protecting the natural products(plants) because they are the one which make our lives so simple and we are expected to protect and plant them throughout the time.
