Beschreibung

This book is based on the study that examines the influence of multiple factors on married womens decision-making power on reproductive health and rights (RHR). Through structured interviews of married women in the reproductive age group in Mettu Rural District, the study seeks to determine socio-demographic, socioeconomic and reproductive health factors influence how much say women have over the healthcare they received. The study finds that less than half the women surveyed possess greater decision-making power with regard to reproductive health and rights. The factors that most influence this were found to be the formal educational status of women and their husbands, knowledge about RHR, gender equitable attitudes, membership in micro-credit enterprises, quality of spousal relationships, and duration of marriage.
