I hereby endorse that the submitted work has not been published elsewhere before and Dr Nawaz is the leading author as well as corresponding author of the wok. The current work was done at Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar in the Department of Neurology. The study suggest that 25-34 year age group is at increased risk of seizures. Males are comparatively at higher risk, however CVST is majorly affecting women patients in the study subjects. Among the various seizure types, GTCS were presented by most of the participating subjects. Although, 12.5% of the factors are idiopathic in nature, but secondary factors owing to ICH, HE, tumours, CVST, encephalitis, hyponatremia and drug use are the main causal factors of adult seizures in study population. Abnormal findings of MRI and EEG were the mainstay for identifying, classifying and localizing seizures among the study patients though, MRV was preferred in women subjects suffering from CVST. Encephalitis and CNS tuberculosis is a more common in younger age group while as prion diseases was predominantly higher among higher age groups.
