Cross Border Reproductive Care (CBRC) or Fertility Tourism is the practice of traveling to another country for fertility treatments such as In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Intra-Uterine Insemination (IUI), Sperm Donation, Egg Donation, Embryo Donation, Surrogacy, Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), Sex Selection, and Fertility Preservation. Recently, Cross Border Reproductive Care (CBRC) has become a global phenomenon. However, little is known about this phenomenon and its different implications worldwide. This book investigates to what extent the European and global healthcare systems are ready for Cross Border Reproductive Care (CBRC) dilemma and its all medical, legal, economical, ethical, social, and religious implications.

Dr. Mahmoud Abdelhalim Salama MBBCh, MSc, MD, PhD is a Consultant of Gynecology and Obstetrics. He did his PhD in the field of Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine at Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria. Recently he did his Master of International Healthcare Management at Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Austria.
