Beschreibung
This is a short review about acute appendicitis in children starting from a historical background, embryology with congenital anomalies of the appendix to surgical anatomy. The third chapter consisting of brief description of acute appendicitis in children that can help students, general practitioners and Pediatric surgeon in managing children with acute appendicitis and its complication. In addition to two chapters highlighting topics of incidental appendicectomy and how to reduce the rate of negative appendicectomy in pediatric age group.
