Beschreibung
The book is the latest of five multidisciplinary volumes that bring together leading researchers in the STEAM-H disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, Mathematics and Health) to present their own work with the perspective to advance their specific fields, and in a way to generate a genuine interdisciplinary interaction transcending boundaries. All chapters therein were carefully edited, peer-reviewed, reasonably self-contained, and pedagogically exposed for a multidisciplinary readership. Contributions are invited only! The primary goal is to enhance interdisciplinary understanding between these areas of research by showing how new advances in a particular field can be of interest to another and how different disciplines contribute to a better understanding of a relevant issue at the interfaces of mathematics and the sciences. The sheer emphasis is on important methods, research directions and applications of analysis within and beyond each field. As such the volume could foster student interest and participation in the STEAM-H disciplines, as well as stimulate interdisciplinary research. The volume features advanced research, including: "Perfect Polygons and Geometric Triple Systems Psychoneuroimmunological Influences"; "Image Segmentation with the Aid of the p-adic Metrics"; "The Primes Are Everywhere, But Nowhere"; "The Logical Combinatorial Approach Applied to Pattern Recognition in Medicine"; "On the Uniqueness of Invariant Measures for the Stochastic Infinite Darcy-Prandtl Number Model"; "Pricing Barrier Options Using Integral Transforms"; "The Philosophy of Adelic Physics"; "Nash Limit Cycles: A Game-Theoretical Analysis of Cultural Integration in America." The book is valuable as a reference of choice and a source of inspiration for a broad spectrum of scientists, mathematicians, research students and postdoctoral fellows in a variety of interdisciplinary fields including geometry, game theory, financial mathematics, adelic physics, imaging segmentation and processing.
