Social security is a basic right of human beings. The government of Nepal has started distributing social cash since 1995 to its target groups like senior citizens, window, endangered indigenous people, children, etc. The programme became very much popular especially among senior citizens. Every year, number of beneficiaries increase and liabilities of government increase. The main problem is to identity exact beneficiaries and distribute social cash to them easily, transparently and effectively. In the mean time, new concept called branchless banking easily solve the problem of cash transfer.

Dr. Mahesh Maharjan has received PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Singhania University in 2017. He has received first master degree in Social Science (Sociology) from Tribhuvan University in 2005 and second degree in Computer Application (MCA) from Purbanchal University in 2008.
