This book gives an insight knowledge regarding co-relation between the remote sensing technology and image processing; followed by several compression algorithms such as JPEG,JPEG2000,CCSDS and such. Also, the implementation of multifarious algorithms is performed over different platforms and several parameters are evaluated for assessment of quality of on-board satellite images. Numerous research papers have been studied and surveyed for the accumulation of the fundamental knowledge and eventually proposing the definite system.

Prof.Vishwakumari Vala is an Academician in the Faculty of Information Technology, CSPIT,CHARUSAT,Changa. She has been involved in the noble profession since 2015 and is an enthusiastic learned faculty. Her main research interests are Image Processing, Cyber security as well as Data Science.
