Now, speaking to the information/knowledge domain of the history and its resources which are itself is huge and need to be organised as most of these are in non-digital format, antique and rare a variety of format and sizes. Owing these factors deserves special attention and treatment for preservation and for accession for future generation. The data need to be classified first, then according to priority the image to be captured according to the nature of the artifact and information for digitization. In order to this, proper infrastructure, skilled manpower, initiative on the part of professional and support from the institution is mandatory. Mr. Ramesh Yernagula is working as a Deputy Director (Documentation)in the Indian Council of Historical Research and currently pursuing Ph.D in Library & Information Science from Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad (Telangana). He has 15 Years experience and also having UGC NET in the LIS field. He worked with IIT Kanpur for 10 years.
