This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 8th TPC Technology Conference, on Performance Evaluation and Benchmarking, TPCTC 2016, held in conjunction with the 41st International Conference on Very Large Databases (VLDB 2016) in New Delhi, India, in September 2016. The 9 papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 20 submissions.
