A model-based approach for monitoring the consumption of methods in an Android application. By executing tests on an Android device, while keeping trace of the application methods invoked in such tests, the power consumed, and the elapsed time, we created a technique which manages to related invoked methods with excessive consumptions. Excessive consumptions are the ones with a higher ratio between power consumed, time, and number of invoked methods. The technique was tested using different apps.

Marco Couto completed his MsC degree in Informatics Engineering in 2014. Since then, he has been working on energy analysis and energy-aware software development. During the past 4 years, he has been involved in several research projects related to his topic of expertise, and has managed to publish his work in several international conferences.
