With the rapidly growth in the number of mobile subscribers and application based high end mobile devices under multiple platforms, the need for seamless mobility with high speed internet access has become a primary concern among the researchers. Mobile IP plays an important role to solve many issues related to seamless mobility management. One of the major problem of Mobile IP is the triangular routing problem which can be resolved by common Route Optimization technique. This book evaluates various novel schemes on Route Optimization and prepare a comparative analysis of those schemes. One of such proposed scheme is pilot agent based route optimization technique that reduces the hand off delay efficiently. This book also enlightens on several Micro-mobility and hierarchical Mobile IP based (HMIP) based mobility management schemes and presents a comparative analysis of those protocols. A new technique THMIP(Three level Hierarchical Mobile IP) has been presented as an efficient mobility management scheme.

Sajal Saha is presently working as Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Application, Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata,India since 2004. He received his ME in IT from West Bengal University of Technology(2007), MCA from SMIT,Sikkim(2004) and BSc(Physics) from Calcutta University. He is currently doing Phd at NIT, Durgapur, India.
