This book deals with Application of ICT based Resources and Services in University Libraries in Tamil Nadu. Information and communication technology is defined, as the use of hardware and software for efficient management of information namely storage, retrieval, processing, communication diffusion, and sharing of information for social, economic and cultural enlistment. Libraries have undergone considerable change in the past two decades. With increasing use of technology to organize and disseminate information and the computer has become an important tool for accessing information. Libraries not only have to provide the technology necessary for user access to scholarly ICT resources and a growing number of electronic databases. The physical space in libraries has been modified to accommodate the additional technology necessary to provide user with the tools to use library resources successfully and to meet their information needs.

Dr.K.Murugan, is working as Librarian at VOC College of Engineering, Thoothukudi Anna University Campus, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. He serves more than seventeen years in the LIS profession.He has published 20 articles in National and International Journals and more than 50 papers presented and published in various Conferences.
