This book constitutes the proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics Research, BIR 2019, held in Katowice, Poland, in September 2019. This years theme was: Responsibilities of Digitalization - Responsible designing and shaping of future technology for digital preservation, global data storage and cost-effective management. The 17 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 74 submissions.
