Beschreibung
During the past years not only drawing and modeling did change, but also the whole concept of modeling technology. Thousands of companies around the world started to adopt the concept of BIM (building information modelling) in their projects. Revit, which is one of the most famous BIM programs, is widely spread nowadays and many projects are being modelled by Revit. At the chair of static and dynamic in Bochum University, Bochum, Germany, Kratos, which is a FEM (finite element method) software is being used for designing and analyzing. Kratos has some difficulties with importing files directly from Revit, in this thesis the compatibility between these two-different software, Revit and Kratos, will be checked, in order to reduce wasted time caused by repetition and as a consequence reduce wasted money.

I am a computational engineer, I had my Master certificate from RUB with an average of 1,7 . Basically I am a civil engineer and graduated in 2012 with an average of 81.03 % as the seventh best student among 162 graduates and almost 300 students in total. I also had an excellence scholarship by the SFB project during my master studies in RUB.
