This book describes the image processing process to efficiently detect the sickle-shaped cells in the blood cell image without the involvement of haematologist. This book is also helpful for the research scholars and students for the further improvement in the blood cell detection such as overlapped sickle cells, other types of anemia, and the malaria parasite.

I am working as an Associate Professor in the Computer Applications Department of Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg(C.G.), India. I am a recipient of Young Scientist Award. My areas of interest are Image Processing, Image Compression Image Segmentation. I have authored and co-authored 16 Journals and 12 National/International Conference Papers.
