Mobile applications are considered to be one of the fastest growing trends in the smart phone industry. Android platform as part of the most widely used operating systems on smart phones is important target for mobile application developers. This work describes the Android architecture and environment, as well as the development of an Android application. More specifically, an application of the mind game Kakuro is developed. This game expounds upon number games like Sudoku and word games like crossword puzzles.
