Electrical resistivity methods have been very important in the field of Applied Geophysics for more than a century now, particularly for shallow and near-surface investigations. This book explains and simplify the resistivity method for students of geophysics and hydrogeology. Here, the historical development and basic principles of electrical resistivity surveying techniques are presented. Past researches in groundwater geophysical investigation are discussed.

Afuwai Gwazah Cyril received his M.Sc degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2011. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Physics. He is also a Lecturer with the Federal University Dutsin-ma, Nigeria.
