Within the scope of his bright vision for a better future for African youths, the Author, Gaston Essengue explores, researches and discusses on why sports particularly basketball should be promoted and considered as a major means through which human welfare and socio-economic empowerment for Africa can be realized? "Dream in motion" is a research piece, which discusses the importance of sports particularly basketball in; youth empowerment, nation building and socio-economic stability. The Author Gaston Essengue uses his life learnt experiences, his knowledge in sports and his parcour in professional sports, as a mirror through which the impact of sports on human and social economic empowerment can be reflected. The author goes further to talk about certain loopholes and opportunities which if explored and developed, should contribute significantly to the promotion of sports and automatically enable human welfare and socio -economic development throughout all developing communities particularly those in the African continent.

Gaston Essengue is a Professional Basketball athlete, social -entrepreneur & Founder of the Run Forever Foundation project. He is very engaged & concerned about using his knowledge, resources & talent in contributing to the empowerment of the less privileged youths around the world, particularly those from his home country Cameroon.
