The educational areas specially colleges and universities have a great population and its population are increase from time to time. When the population increase the solid waste and its negative impact also increase, but in developing countries universities including Ethiopia, the focus on solid waste management is week. The present study is asses that location and number of solid waste bins in an area using geographic information system software. this research should play role in providing sustainable solid waste management service for Ethiopian universities specially for Adama Science and Technology University and its surround community or environment.
