This book is mainly prepared as a question and answer type book. The book will provide the help those who are preparing for the UPSC Combined Geoscientist (Geophysics) Examination. This is the Paper-III Part-B, which is the most complicated portion to prepare for the examination. In this book, the questions and answers are kept according to the syllabus. The main aspect of the book is that it has some numerical and their solutions related to every chapter.

I am currently employed as an officer (Group 'A' Gazetted; Geophysicist) in the Geological Survey of India, Northern Region, Lucknow. Earlier I was pursuing my Ph.D. degree in Planetary Science from Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad. I have completed my M.Sc-Tech degree in Applied Geophysics from Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.
