Beschreibung
There is an association between major depression and schizophrenia with the proinflammatory cytokines. In the present work, IL-6, IL-18, TNF-alpha, & sIL_2r were estimated in both psychiatric disorders. The findings may indicate that these disorders are inflammatory in nature. Furthermore, the results may provide indicator that anti-inflammatory drugs may be used as assistant in treating these disorders.
