Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) have received great attention in past decades due to their high electrochemical energy conversion, environmental benefits, fuel flexibility, and wide range of applications. Covering on ceramic and composite materials for energy conversion, the current book is focused on processing, microstructure and performance of Mixed Ionic Electronic Conductors (MIECs) which can be used as functional components in SOFC. The main chemical/physical methods to prepare MIECs, together with manufacturing techniques and electrochemical analysis of MIEC/electrolyte symmetrical cells are discussed. This book is intended to academic/industrial scientists from chemistry, physics and materials science interested in materials for energy conversion in solid oxide fuel cells.
