The author has been recipient of Young Scientist award Ist in national conference on emerging trends in engineering and sciences may 16-17, 2016. Other academic honours include editorial board member, advisory board member, and reviewer member with 15 published papers in different national and international journals. Participated in 15 national and international conferences and is member of professional organizations i.e. ISID and IAENG. The book has been prepared in simple lucid and easily understandable language with special emphasis on the synthesis characterization and biological activity screening of some -lactams of therapeutic interests targeting the benefit of research scholars working in the field of synthesis and biological activity screening of compounds of therapeutic importance.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Soni is a Faculty of Chemistry at Inst. Engg. Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.)-INDIA. He obtained Graduation and Post Graduation degree from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University Sagar (M.P.)-INDIA and M.Phil., PhD from SOS in Chemistry, Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.)-INDIA under Prof C.P. Shinde and Prof Anand K. Halve.
