Beschreibung
This is an adapted version of Sanda Dilber research on beta hydroxy acids as drugs. The emphasis is on their synthesis and the study of their anti-inflammatory activity. The synthesis is based on the modified Reformatsky reaction. With markedly optimized procedure. All compounds were fully chemically characterized, and wherever was possible, the separation of stereoisomers was done. The explanation of the mechanism of biological effect was done using molecular modeling techniques.

Sanda Dilber (maid. Jovanovic), is born 1953. in Novi Becej, by father Paja and mother Nevenka Jovanovic. Since 1983. is employed at Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, starting as a teaching associate, now is the assistant professor for the subject Organic Chemistry. Her research is mainly in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry.
