The last few decades have seen a flurry of activity in the synthesis and development of 8-hydroxy-quinoline (8HQ) derivative. Various strategies can be envisaged to synthesize or modify 8HQ structures by exploiting the reactivity of this heterocycle with their derivatives by various researchers. 8-hydroxyquinoline and its derivatives were also reported to have promising bioactivities, including anticancer, antibacterial, antidyslipidemic and antioxidative properties, vasorelaxing properties, antivirus and antiplatelet activities. The aim of this book is to provide a brief knowledge about organic compounds derived from 8-hydroxyquinoline and 2,2-(phenyl azanediyl) diethanol derivatives. We have included the synthesis of novel organic compounds and their characterization by various spectroscopic techniques.

Dr. Khyati D. Patel has good academic record and she did her research in Inorganic polymer metal complexes. Dr. Yogesh S. Patel has also a long academic experience and interested in research based on polymer, metal complexes and heterocyclic synthesis. Both have published many research articles in the well reputed International journal.
