Since the dawn of history, and even before, men and women have been acquisitive in unraveling the mechanisms of their existence. Only some decades before, did this grasp yield anything of substance, i.e. proteins that play a pivotal role in this existence. The book focuses on synthesis and regulation of proteins and highlights various mechanisms that couple translational control with pathological diseases.

The author is a graduate (PhD) student at the Department of Biotechnology, University of Kashmir with specialization in molecular cell biology and signal transduction .She has contributed extensively to the world literature with publications appearing in reputed journals.
