This book engulfs practical and computational aspects of metal toxicity in earthworms, with a specific focus on metal bioavailability and species traits (physiological, morphological, and ecological traits). Furthermore, the author developed several novel BLM-based bioavailability models, which combined chemical insights in metal speciation with biological insights regarding effects and provided a mechanistic framework for site-specific risk assessment of metals.
Autorenporträt
The author is now a postdoc researcher in the Institute of Environmental Sciences, Leiden University, the Netherlands. His expertise is in the field of ecotoxicology. Research mainly focused on demystifying metal toxicity to soil invertebrates (earthworms, springtail,and nematode).
