Beschreibung

Vultures are natural scavenger and different research work have shown the drastic decline in their population in South-Asia.Diclofenac, one of the NSAID has been identified as the primary cause for their population decline. So it was necessary to establish VSFS to provide Diclofenac free carcass to the vulture but there are a lot of questions for its sustainability in the future. It was necessary to find out the possibilities of continuous running of these programs due to the limited livestock and illegal use of Diclofenac. Therefore, the research was helpful to find out the sources and potential sites of resources that will support its sustainability of Vulture Safe Feeding Sites in future. Similarly, the study was also helpful to identify the future threats of vulture and their solutions, attitude of local people, impact on their social and economic status by these vulture conservation programs in Lumbini and Dang.
