It contains all the efforts made to initiate the anaerobic digestion process for the treatment of mainly biodegradable health care waste, with focus on the pathological waste. It is a breakthrough for the promotion of non-burn technology for treatment of health care waste. With regards to promotion of non burn alternative for treatment of the health care waste, anaerobic digestion proved to be one of the safe alternatives for the biodegradable waste.

Mr. Dhakal holds master's degree in environmental science with more than ten years' experience in South and Southeast Asia on health care waste assessment, treatment and disposal technologies, and planning and implementation of HCWM system in diverse system of heath care setting. He is presently leading an EU-funded project for Lalitpur, Nepal
