This is a unique work done in the river Gomti to know the current condition of the sediment of the river. The study is aimed to have an idea about the concentration of heavy metals in the sediment. This work will reveal the bad impact of contamination in aquatic environment. This work will also help people to understand the bad consequences of their work. Not only that, but also the study will help to generate some law to protect the area from pollution. Moreover, the study will create awareness among others and will encourage people to be careful to use this blessing. Besides, the whole ecosystem may breakdown as a result of pollution, which may result in the extinction of some organisms. In a word, continuous pollution will bring chaos.
