This book is about the proximate composition of Small Indigenous Species (SIS) and it will help readers to understand the nutritional importance of Small Indigenous Species (SIS) in Bangladesh. By doing that readers can know about the importance of small fish species that will help to reduce malnutrition of people by consuming these and fulfill their nutrient requirements. The work also compares the nutrient content among the fish species.

Dr. Mohammad Belal Hossain is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fisheries and Marine Science, NSTU. Dr. Md. Monirul Islam is Director of Nutrition of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
