MicroRNAs constitute a large family of approximately 21-nucleotide-long, noncoding RNAs. They emerged more than 20 years ago as key post transcriptional regulators of gene expression. This book provides the basic principles of miRNAs in development of diseases. In this book, the possibility of miRNAs on the clinical application for diagnosis and therapy of diseases is reviewed and discussed. As mentioned, miRNA regulates the inflammation of the vascular system. In addition, numerous diseases are caused by the deregulation of miRNAs, which also have vital functions in cardiovascular disease development. This book provides an overview of the role and functions of miRNA in vasculogenesis, angiogenesis and vascular injury, inflammation and cancer diseases together with contemporary studies on miRNAs in vascular pathological therapeutics. Furthermore, the role of miRNA in pulmonary hypertension and atherosclerosis are discussed. Interested readers of this book are mainly molecular biologists, biomedical scientists, clinical scientists and clinical pharmacologist. Here studying MicroRNA expression patterns and recent researches are covered.
