Aureobasidium pullulans popularly known as Black Yeast is a micro-fungus that occurs frequently in a wide range of habitats. Earlier it was known as Pullularia pullulans. Aureobasidium pullulans produces a wide range of useful products including a polysaccharide Pullulan. Pullulan is a linear chain of glucose units. It posses several potential application in various fields. This book will throws light on production of this polysaccharide at laboratory level.

Dr. Ranjan Singh is currently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Botany and Microbiology, St. Aloysius College, Jabalpur, M.P., India. His area of interest is Applied Microbiology. He has 4 years of teaching, 1.5 years of industrial and 6 years of research experience. He has published more than 12 papers and 6 books.
