Gumuz sheep beyond its huge population in the area it is known for its adaptation to harsh environment, prolific, large frame and fast growth during early age. Alemu Tarekegn Tiruneh (1974) graduated as a Bachelor of Science in Animal, Range and Wildlife Sciences in 2008 and in 2016 he received a Masters degree in Animal Production from Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. From 1993 till 2019 he has been serving as development endeavor, as Project coordinator, as researcher and as research case team leader.
