Beschreibung
Spodopter litura is a polyphagous pest, with an aggressive eating pattern. This insect has a wide host range. However, excessive use of synthetic pesticides promote faster evaluation of resistant form of insect pest, harm no target sp. and contaminate the food chain. Therefore, the use of plant originated insecticides and new generation insecticides in any IPM programme puts less xenobiotic load on the environment.

Mrs. Kanchan Bisht has obtained her M.Sc degree in Agriculture Entomology from GBPUAT, Pantnagar, India in 2010 and Worked as Assistant Professor (HOD) in department of Agriculture in Sai Institute of Paramedical and Allied Sciences, Dehradun. Dr. R.P. Srivastava is presently a faculty member in dept. of Agriculture Entomology in GBPUAT, Pantnagar.
